How FastBMI is funded and how advertising is kept separate from editorial content
Last updated: October 7, 2026
Our Commitment to Transparency
FastBMI is a free-to-use health calculator platform. To keep all tools and articles freely accessible, we display advertising through Google AdSense. This page explains exactly how advertising works on FastBMI, how it is kept clearly separate from editorial content, and how we comply with Google publisher policies and applicable advertising standards.
We believe you have a right to know when you are looking at paid content versus independent editorial content. On FastBMI, the two are always clearly separated.
Short version: Ads on FastBMI are served by Google AdSense. They are labeled as ads. Our editorial team (not advertisers) controls all content. We never accept payment to write favorable health content, and we never promote products in our calculators or articles.
1 How Advertising Is Served
FastBMI uses Google AdSense to serve display advertisements. Google AdSense is an automated platform: Google selects and delivers ads based on the page content and (if you have consented) your browser history and interests. FastBMI does not manually select, create, or control which specific ads appear.
Key facts about ad delivery on FastBMI:
Consent-gated: Personalized advertising only activates if you explicitly accept marketing cookies via our consent banner (powered by Cookiebot, a Google-certified CMP). If you decline, only contextual ads — matched to the page topic, not your profile — may appear.
Google Consent Mode v2: Our site implements Google Consent Mode v2, which defaults all ad-related signals to “denied” until you provide consent.
Ad-free pages: No advertising is displayed on our 404 error page, Contact page, legal pages (Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Terms of Use, Disclaimer), or any page whose sole purpose is site navigation.
No pop-ups or interstitials: We do not use pop-up ads, full-screen interstitials, or any format that blocks access to content.
Ad placements do not interfere with primary content, navigation, or calculator functionality.
Ads are never positioned to encourage accidental clicks.
Ad units are labeled clearly by Google as “sponsored” or “advertisement.”
The number of ads on any page does not exceed the amount of editorial content.
2 Separation of Advertising and Editorial Content
All articles, guides, and calculator explanations published on FastBMI are written independently of any advertiser relationship. No advertiser has ever paid to influence, alter, or suppress any content on this site.
No sponsored articles: FastBMI does not publish sponsored posts, native advertising articles, or advertorial content. If this ever changes, it will be clearly labeled.
No affiliate links: At present, FastBMI does not use affiliate links (links that earn a commission when you purchase something). If affiliate links are introduced in the future, they will be disclosed clearly inline and in this document.
No product endorsements: FastBMI does not endorse specific products, supplements, diets, apps, or health services in its editorial content. The site does not benefit financially from any health product recommendation.
Health content is evidence-based: All health information published on FastBMI is derived from publicly available guidelines by the WHO, CDC, NIH, and NHS. Sources are cited directly. No health claim is made for commercial benefit.
3 Your Privacy and Ad Personalization
When advertising is served by Google on FastBMI, Google may use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to collect information about your visit in order to show relevant ads. This is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy.
You can manage your ad personalization preferences through:
The consent banner on FastBMI (reject or manage cookies at any time by clicking the cookie icon in the footer, or by clearing your browser cookies and revisiting the site).
FastBMI covers health topics including body weight, nutrition, and related health metrics. We are committed to ensuring that advertising in this context does not cause harm:
We do not sell, promote, or advertise weight-loss drugs, supplements, or miracle diet products through editorial content.
We do not make guaranteed health outcome claims in any article or calculator.
All content carries a medical disclaimer: the tools and articles on this site are for informational purposes only and are not a substitute for professional medical advice.
If a Google ad appearing on our site promotes harmful health claims or violates Google’s ad policies, please report it using the contact details below — we will escalate the report to Google.
5 Report an Advertising Concern
We take policy compliance seriously. If you encounter an ad that you believe is misleading, inappropriate, or violates Google AdSense policies, please contact us:
Please include the URL of the page where you saw the ad and a brief description of the concern. We will review and, where within our control, act within 5 business days. Ads served by Google that violate Google’s own policies should also be reported directly through Google’s ad complaint tool.
For questions about our editorial content rather than advertising, see our Editorial Policy or contact us at the address above.
